I don't know how many watch this event, but tonight drew a heavy blow to one of the contestants. I won't say who, as some are just now sitting down to watch. I can say this, America voted and spoke, I don't know what they based it on, but what a sad outcome. The judges were all upset and I don't blame them. I can only hope that they or others in a position to promote, will take this person and run with them! Well I have spoken my thoughts.

I was also surprised. The one eliminated tonight seemed to me like the most professional one in the contest! I did read on the internet after Naima (sp?) was voted off last week, she said that the teeny bopper girls were voting all the females off - regardless of how well they sang. Looks like she might be right!

I was shocked also. I would have someone else go. Not her.

I was stunned as well! It actually brought tears to my eyes.
I am hoping and crossing my fingers for Scotty this year. I thought she would have lasted til almost the end.
Very pretty, professional girl. I think she handled herself very well at the end.
I wish her good luck with her singing career. Beautiful voice.

She was one of the better singers, but I'd rather have her figure than her voice. From what I could see, she
had a nice body. The other girls are slightly chubby. lol I've always been chubby.

For the guys, I like Scotty and Paul. Both have unique voices. Scotty with his baritone and Paul with the rasp. Better watch out for Stefano, he has the voice, just needs the personality

The same thing happened a few years back when they voted off one of the best. ( Daughtry)
He went on to get a contract and is doing pretty good. I am sure someone will pick her up.

I'm also a first time watcher, and will the one voted off tonight was not one of my favorites, I must say I thought the "judges" reactions were hysterical. They seem to LOVE everybody, they are shocked when one of their "favorites" gets the boot. Makes you wonder who they really want gone :)

Me I am voting for Scotty I think that dude is gonna go all the way. I love country Music He is a natural stage pressence. I realy didnt care for his Elvis last night but still pulled it off.
Well I like Scotty too! There is some real talent in this group this year. I just thought it sad that Pia got voted off so soon. I do hope she gets some kind of promotion from the show.

I am so stunned / shocked by this show!! I'm down right pissed off !!
Brought me to solid tears to feel her pain over a computer.
This is the first time I have seen a contestant break down and cry and the first time I have seen the judges go up to console her.
The voting structure for this show is wrong !! wrong !! wrong !!

I just finished watching Idol. I was shocked and disappointed. Pia had the most talent, as far as I'm concerned. I didn't vote, so I have no room to talk, but I seriously thought she was going to be in the top 3 overall. Also, the special guests tonight were awful! Constantino and Iggy Pop (he was disgusting). With all the good talent out there, couldn't they have done better??? Let's hope for a better show next week.

OMGosh, I too thought Iggy Piggy (Pop..lol) was discusting. I can't believe they allowed him to be on the show, there are little children in the audience.

I kinda thought Pia would not make it to the final 3 if she didn't step up her game. I think she should have stepped out of her comfort zone by now. I really like Scotty and James. James has overcome so many obstacles to get as far as he has and he is good. It will get harder from here out.

Ive watched Idol almost every year since it inception...the judges know before the show who is getting voted off....so it was all an act. I do think the guys have more talent this year. I was surprised by tonights vote also thinking she would still get voted out but not tonight..I was hoping Haley would go this week. Scotty I hope will be one of the final 3...and the same with James

This is the worst year yet for Idol. The judges are horrible, and the show is just not the same without Simon,,,at least he told it like it was and told the truth. All these judges now are just nambie pambies who want to make nice. Nobody should be surprised at who gets voted off, after all,,,isn't it supposed to be US who are doing the voting? Right!!! Yeah, we need another screaming heavy metal idol, and that idiot with the beard is such a phony, always breaking down and half crying like a little girl, he should have been gone the first time he was voted off.
Don't worry about Pia...the LOSERS always do better than the WINNERS anyway, except for Carrie Underwood. Remember Jordan Sparks? Okay, I will jump off my soapbox now!!!LOL

I agree with you on this, I thought Stefano would go. I was shocked and the judges as well. JLO was crying and so amazed at what took place as all !!!!! I think she was great in all areas, I was sad.

I have watched almost all seasons and I did like Simon but I love these judges far more than any other season. I'm also not a Casey fan but wasnt much of a Pia fan either. The contestants need constructive criticism as well as praise and I think this years judges have done that very well.
