You are absolutely correct, 100%. The raw meat will immediately clear up the problem. Call a pet store and ask them.

Yea, she's already on Flagyl, but I thought that doing both wouldn't hurt.

I've already spent close to $400 at the vet on this cat and I've had her less than a month. Between the eye infection, ear yeast infection, Ghiardia, test for HIV and Leukemia, this poor cat hates me because of all the meds she's on.

The rescue place were the ones who told me they had better luck with the diotomaceous earth instead of Flagyl. They seem to prefer natural treatments instead of going to the vet, probably due to money issues. I always do the vet first.

She ate the stuff no problem though, so i will continue to use it for both cats, since my older one will probably get it now too.

One of my cats is allergic to beef, pork, turkey and a multitude of grains. So I wouldn't go that route.

How does eating raw meat get rid of a parasite?

I use it with my chickens. They take a dust bath in it. I also used it outside to sprinkle on the ground where my goats slept.

Here is what you need to know about Giardia. Raw hamburger is not going to clear this up.

I have some and have used it to deworm some feral barn cats. I think you can also spread it (don't breath the dust) in your yard for a natural flea control. I haven't used it in the yard because my dog is a super sniffer and I don't want him inhaling it.

I have two rescue cats and the commercial flea meds have made them sick, one time they started falling off their stools they had always sat on to watch out the window for birds a few hours after putting it on them.

I put it (Diatomaceous Earth) in canned cat food, mix the FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous Earth in with it as a treat, since I don't feed it to them often, just as a treat or to teach new tricks. One eats it eagerly, the fussy eater I have to smash it on her feet so she'll be forced to lick it off, glaring at me all the time!!!!

But we have no more shots need at the vets' because of worms!!

And I rub it now and then into their fur on top of their heads and on the back of their necks, and mix a trifle in their water, but don't know just how much of that is in it after it settles to the bottom of the bowl.

And I mix it in water and spray it on all my plants outside, tomatoes, etc and flowers. After it dries it turns white and I can
see any spots I've missed. Don't have much troubles with bugs any more.

Some places on the Internet claim to use it in humans...I'm going to research that one. They make new medicines by trying them on animals and then use it on humans....

Hummm...just a thought.

Thanks everyone. I've ordered 12 pounds of the stuff and am planning on using it in their food for 3 months. Apparently 90 days is the entire cycle of most parasites and worms so they should be good to go.

They both have been to the vet and the infected one is also on Flagyl for the parasite as well, I'm using this as a "just in case" the other stuff doesn't work and there's no harm in giving it to the other cat as well.

I can't believe how many uses this stuff has. We have a earwig problem along with silverfish in our condo, the area around our home is quite wet so I think putting some of this stuff around the edges of the foundation inside and in the basement will keep the bugs away.

For some ants in an older friends' back yard I put down some excitotoxins (artificial sweeteners) which killed them, but didn't work on a larger one in my back yard, had to spray the DE all over it.
