I did something like this over 53 years ago, except the paint was poured into a sink filled with water & then you laid the paper on top. A family friend was getting her elementary teaching degree & she wanted my brother & I to do some craft projects she might use in class. I was maybe 8 years old then. All I remember is she had a sink full of water, poured the paints in & we laid thick paper on top. Then you lifted it out & laid it to dry. They looked a lot like the photos you posted. I'd guess they no longer do this.

Yes, I'm a year older and remember this hobby from back in the 60's, never did get to try it but must have used oil based paint. In this part of the world, water based paints were not used - I don't think they had been invented - and they would have broken down in a sink full of water.

Pretty!!!
I've spent lots and lots of hours watching youtube vids of this. Who knew there were so many ways to pour paint. It is messy....especially when I use my pottery wheel. Love the designs you can get with string pulling.

So....
I got out my fabric dyes and started pouring.....
then I got out the solar dyes I had stashed away.
This is so much fun! Some of it is even usable. I'm making kids quilts.....
here are more videos...just in case you all want to watch
