One of my doggies, EllaBud (my namesake on this Board), suffers terribly from allergies and they're sooooooo BAD this year! It's the worst I've ever seen it. She's on allergy shots now and other meds, so hopefully, she'll get better eventually. It costs a ton of money for the hospital I take her to in Houston. I now call her Ella Bud American Express.

Used to use alavert, but it isn't working the last couple ou years, so when the current supply is gone will try zyrtec. claratin doesn't work any more either. Once the trees are done I will be fine.

Claritin, saline nasal spray and showering and washing my hair after I've been out in the yard (our yard is 1 1/2 acres of pine trees - LOTS of pollen!)

Goodness yes. I use benadryl and eye drops. My little man has them really bad and I am having a hard time finding something to help him.

I am so sorry to hear this. I used to suffer also. Tried all of the above mentioned meds. I have been taking Allergy Shots for over a year now, and nothing is bothering me now!! I went 16 years before my allergies got so bad to take shots again.

Change clothes if you have been outdoors, the pollen gets in your clothes and will drop all over your house

Alot of you mentioned Claritin - is that over the counter or prescription? I understand there are 2 strengths. They said this year was going to be the Armagaden (sp) of allergy seasons. Since we have been in MO EVERY YEAR my allergies start on May 7th and run thru til June 10. It is sooooo frustrating - I will need to stock up on "depends" this year~ YUCK! can't sneeze, can't laugh, can't cough!
