My SIL is in N. Dakota and just finished having a blizzard. I try not to rub it in that this week we're having highs from 82 to 88.

5" of rain here last week - about 1-1/2 in the last 48 hours - snow showers this afternoon + 30 mph winds. Welcome Spring!

Oh yeah, our sump pump went out last week. Luckily it was stuck 'on' so our basement didn't flood and we were home when this happened and shut the pump off before it got too hot (and could have caught on fire). Of course this all happened starting at 9:30 pm when all the stores were closed. I went into Mrs. McGyver mode and cobbled together enough parts to use a spare pump for the night.

I am from NC and it has been in the low 80"s now a cold front is on the way. Tornado warning for us just minutes ago with possible one touched down about 5 miles from my house. Temp is suppose to be mid 60"s tomorrow.
Never know around here what it is going to be. Make the best of what we get.

Oh my goodness! I feel your pain. Yesterday in NE OH it reached the high 70's or maybe even low 80's and it was wonderful. However, today it wasn't warm at all and right now at 7:00 p.m. it is 40 degrees. The weathermen say we might get snow this weekend. I hope not. I'm ready to put the winter clothes away. We already put the snow sticks away that were on both sides of our driveway. Hang in there!!

Well, back to my plate rail painting and sewing my next quilt.

It'll melt, the sun WILL come out, it'll get HOT, we will gripe and complain and moan and groan about our Xcel Energy bill
and then we can remember the 19th of April and the stupid snow storm, wind, broken branches, heavy snow albeit beautiful. Have a good and happy day. Edie

Well, it looks like a gorgeous day today, I hope. We had 10.6" of snow to shovel. Thank God for the world's greatest friends and neighbors who did my walk and steps for me. I managed to do the back, but it was really waterlogged. The snow!!!! So now maybe we will have our Spring!!!!

Did manage to get my painting done, and some more squares made for my Floating Stars quilt for one of my good neighbors who did my shoveling!

    Welcome Spring!!!!! Edie
