Where do you sell your aprons? There is nothing around here that I know of. Would be very interested.

I've always dreamed of being retired and wearing nice outfit in the house instead of my usual jeans and tshirt - and this is my 2nd retirement coming up - and might just go to wearing aprons over a nice blouse and long skirt in winter, or a short dress in summer... but would like to be a nice retired presentable Ms. of the house...

Many people sell aprons on etsy.
And I think they do well.

Love this quote! I make lots of aprons for our hospital auxillary bazaar twice a year. In the fall I make reversible aprons with Thanksgiving pattern on one side and Christmas on the other. They always sell real well. I make party aprons for little girls that are three layers of ruffles and boys' aprons like a cobbler apron with pockets across the front where I put appliques of trucks, fire engines, or cartoon cars. Here is a picture of the apron I made for my great-granddaughter last Christmas.

I went to an exhibit of vintage aprons in a museum in Texas. They were displayed hanging from clothes lines with clothes pins. They were so interesting and brought back lots of memories of my grandmothers who always wore an apron. I am glad they are popular again. I see a lot of them on Etsy, as was mentioned earlier in this thread.

I sell mine to co-workers. I've done quite a few "mommy n me" ones.

What is the 1940 pattern?
I don't know if this is the pattern that gramabear makes but check out tipnut.com/56-free-apron-patterns-you-can-make/ for a 1940's bib apron along with many other styles.
