just today while I was at work a bear broke both of our bird feeders the dog nearly went though the screen we are so lucky he didnt he would not have won that fight now we are trying to find out what time of day it came around

Don't know what can be put over the hole that she won't chew through.

A sheet of iron? Might be worth it to have one made, with holes for screws to hold it in place. And encourage neighborhood cats to visit.
