I use the new crystals and they are great. Wouldn't use anything else.

Hands down, the best litter. I have used them all and my nose is uber sensitive to smells and fragrances. You should try it.

I'm loyal to Fresh Step. There is never a litter box smell.

Over my 20+ years as a Cat Servant I've tried most of the litters mentioned so far, and since I tried Wal-Mart's Special Kitty have stuck with that. 28 lb box is $6.85. Scooping twice daily, I've never had to totally empty and refill the pan, though I do add a little baking soda on a rare occasion. Although the litter is marked as scented, it has little or no odor itself and does not leave my furbabies smelling of added fragrance, both requirements for my allergies.

I have used cat litter we buy at Sams Club and I am telling u it is the best ever, ever. It is about $9 for 40 lbs. and it has a nice smell, very little but boy does it work. U have to at least try it if u have a Sams Club near you. It is the only place I have ever seen it and only one they carry. WalMart does not even carry it, just Sams Club. It comes in a bucket and is called LitterClean, all neutual and triple odor......it works so great, u do not even smell it except when u put it in the box. I am telling u, if it does not work and u like it, I will give u the money back.....that is how I know it is so great.......u must find it and all of u on here........unbelievable.

And that's why there are so many brands of litter available, because we each have our respective likes, dislikes. experiences and opinions. :)

We have two cats. I have found the litter at Costo to be the best for us. We also use a citrus spray or powder that works wonders too. I think it's called Purrfet Litter. It's about $7. for a 30# bottle. It beats all the others I've tried. I also clean it every other day. I think that's the main thing. If their box is full, they find a carpet - not even a washable rug. We travel in a 37' 5th wheel for several months a year and smells travel fast. Since the box is under the dining table, it is very noticable when it smells. Some litters I have used, broke the scoop, others don't stay clumped. This clumps nicely. Hope this helps. ;)

I tried that and didn't care for it. Even added extra baking soda. It comes in 2nd to my Costco Purrfect litter. If I am in Texas, they don't have Costcos - just Sams.
