Arm and Hammer has a litter that is unscented and works great ...

Years ago when we had cats there was a pellet product on the market that was made from alfalfa. We found it to be the least offensive as far as smell. (My DH has allergies, as it turns out to CATS!) Haven't had a need for it in years and don't know if they still make it but one thing that we liked about it was that it was environmentally friendly and broke down easily. You could even flush it down the drain into the septic tank unlike the clay product.

I'm also very sensitive to things in my environment and my DH changed to World's Best Kitty Litter a few months ago.(He takes care of the litter box because of my allergies.) I was surprised he was willing to pay the extra money for it, but it turned out to be a great investment. No more smells and I can even clean up without it affecting me (don't tell DH that part though).

there is only one cat litter I use - it's called SWheat - it's wheat based which means there is no clay to mess up my kitty's (six indoor furbabies) respiratory systems. The clay-based litters are not healthy for our kitties. It gets in their lungs and is unhealthy for the long term. SWheat holds the odors down and does not track all over my house. I buy it at WalMart.

I have four cats and have tried others but, the best by far is Scoop Away for Multi-cats. It has a pleasant oder and takes away the unpleasant oders. It is all I use.

There are a number of litters out now that are ground corn or ground wheat products I find they work nicely.

Another alternative is to mix the pine pellet litter with Yesterdays News. Each alone has its drawback, but when mixed together works well.

Same hear. And if you are relly sensitive to the cat odors, use the one for multi-cats. It will cover a single cat's smell even more.

I tried the Worlds Best Cat Litter and returned it because it smelled SO Bad. I guess it's good to have so many products to choose from because one doesn't work for everyone. Right now we are using Arm and Hammer but I also use Fresh Step.

My preference is for Fresh Step. It seems to control the odor the best.

You might also rethink your cat's diet to help eliminate some of the odors. On the recommendation of my vet, I feed my cats Hill's Science Diet catfood, not for special dietary needs but for a noticeable difference in litter box odor. I buy it at my vet's office or from the local Petco. It does cost a little more, but the extra cost is worth it to me.
