I have a wood pecker who thinks we want a wake up call as soon as it is light outside..He only pecks on the side of the house right above our bedroom window!! I have heard that a big plastic owl will deter them..it's on my list to buy the next trip into town...you might try one of those. Perched on the roof above the window. good luck..

The garden store where we shop has clean cutouts that are shapes with emit ultra-violet rays that scare the birds away. Our look like maple leaves that we put on our picture window. They certainly work as we haven't killed a bird this season. We were finding at least one bird about every three weeks underneath our window. They weren't very expensive, perhaps $10.00 for four. It was recommended we put two on the window at a time. They last about six months. Check with a garden store.

Don't know how to solve the problem, but I can tell you how to make it worse! I have a large mirror on the wall opposite a ten foot window, and the darned birds think they're going to fly right through the house!

    Good luck!

We use the clear suction cups and tie long pieces of ribbon to it. It won't take much of breeze to make the ribbon flutter and keep the birds from hitting the window.

How unreal that this happened to me just 30 min. ago. I got outside quickly ( 6 cats ). It's neck appeared broken but after holding it 10 min. or so, I drizzled a couple of drops of diet coke down it's throat and up popped it's head . It also pulled it's legs back under it's body. It sat outside on the porch rail over 10 min. then flew in the tree. Felt like I was watching a miracle. Glenda

How about some of those plastic owls and some bamboo wind chimes? (My dad used to joke and say that KFC is delivering) Sorry, that was sick, but it was so frequent until he used the owls and the chimes.

I use a stained glass sun catcher and hang it in the window. Seems to work.

You might hanging some things in front of them, wind chimes, or dangling things like that. Do a google search too, asking this question, & maybe other suggestions will show up. Be sure & let us know too, good luck!
