I drink water filtered through our refrigerator when I'm home and soda when we're at restaurants. However, for taking with us on day hikes and things like that, the bottled water is quite convenient. Our straight tap water has too much of a chloriney (new word!) taste to it.

Tap water for me. I live an area that has good water. Does bottle water have to meet any standards? They do a fantastic job of advertising bottle water. Makes us really think we getting the best taste and cleanest water.
But are we?

Bottled water is probably just filtered tap water! But it doesn't have all the chemical tastes to it that most tap water does. I like Purity brand and Deerfield Springs, they taste the best to me.

h: I travel and live in the desert so we always carry water in case we break down or have a flat. Plus we prefer to drink water. We drink tap water at home. Bottled water is convenient, I can take it with me when I bike, or my husband takes it to the gym. Plus, I don't have to worry about the container leaking as it has with the rubbermaid (and other brands) containers.

I generally refill the plastic bottle several times.

Thanks. This survey isn't for any purpose other than my own curiosity. And by the way, I drink bottled water, but I'll drink decent tap or filtered water when it's available.

I drink filtered tap (ours tastes a little chlorine infused) and I try to take it with me in a bottle when at all possible. Otherwise I buy it for the sake of convenience. I drink bottled water at work, it's what is available, and the water from the tap comes out brown when left for the weekend. I don't consider it very safe.

Believe it or not in Washington, DC and metro area, at least 5-6 times per year for a week to 10 days they tell us to boil our drinking water for 5 min. Do you think I would ever go back to drinking out of our taps? We buy gal. jugs and ind. bottles of Deer Park water. Its the only one our family agrees on and its the best $28 per month we spend. None of us drink soda but we do like coffee, tea & juice all made with bottled water.

Our tap water sometimes smells like chlorine, but it tastes fine, so when I drink water (not often) I drink tap. But buy huge gallon size bottles for kitty, don't want him exposed to so many chemicals. (Lost one to cancer)
