All I can say is good for you - we women are strong and stick together like glue. You have friends here. I know where you are coming from as I was in your shoes many years ago. Stay strong and stay in touch with us. If you need to talk, you can personally PM me. I'm a good listener. God Bless You!!

I know you can make it. I've not regretted choosing my life over a bad marriage. I was more alone in my marriage than I've ever been since my divorce. Now you get to have good come into your life so hang in there. This board has the most lively, thoughtful people. Keep us posted as you progress in your new life.

Good for you. You have already done the hardest, most courageous thing which is get yourself out. It might not always be easy but just enjoy your freedom.

Good for you. I'm with you, too. I left my unhappy situation after 34 years, and I'm better off now. It's great being able to do what & when you feel like doing. :-D

So glad to hear that you are in a better place now. Long ago, I was in a bad relationship that I managed to get out of, with the help of a very supportive family. I have now been married to a wonderful man for over 35 years. However, I do appreciate the strength it took you to get out of an unhealthy situation. Way to go!!!!!!
I still think that quilting is definitely good therapy. Take care. {{{Hugs}}}

My DH had to do the same after 23 years. I tell him everyday what a winner he is. Some days he even believes it. I can't understand how people can do this to others. I am glad you are free. I can offer you this, "you create your own universe". You are the designer, make it what you want, just like in your quilts!
