This is not a real name, but when I lived in Boston, there was a story that went around that 2 of the large grocery chains were going to merge: Stop & Shop plus A & P. Yes, the new name would be Stop & P. Groan.

I have enjoyed watching a show on the Smithsonian Channel about a vintage dress shop in L.A. called The Way We Wore. Love the show!

Indiana school teacher, Mrs. Teach; Stone Brothers Jewelers, hospital employed Dr. Strange, rock shop that sold fossils was "Remains To Be Seen", quilt shop Seams to Be, barber shop called Head Hunters, in England the town of Ugley had the Ugley Womens Club, Ugley School, Ugley Police, etc.

Many, many, many years ago, in Chicago, (on 79th Street) there was a funeral home called Ketcham and Killum. A bit closer to my present home, we have a Dr. Zipper...urologist.

Our town has a beauty shop called "Yes Deere". Since there is farm country all around, reminds of John Deere farm implements.
