And I like the Indian corn variety better than the original yellow, orange white kind...maybe because of the chocolate flavor?? But I haven't bought any this year...trying to cut back on sugar. Hoping I make it through the rest of the season without giving in to temptation.

OK ladies!
What on earth is it?
Different from popcorn, evidently, and similar to cotton candy (which we do have in Europe - called Candy Floss here!)
Is it something I can make?
Mind you, for the sake of health, it sounds as though we should stick to Toffee Apples at Hallowe'en and Parkin (very dense ginger spiced cake) and Cinder Toffee for Bonfire night!

I'm not that big of a fan of candy corn but I love Peeps! I just bought my two packages of Ghost peeps. Those are my favorite.
My mom actually loved candy corn. I'm thinking about doing a candy corn quilt in her memory.

First of all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Candy Corn! Its the ONLY thing about Halloween that I like! Second, STALE PEEPS are the only ones I eat. I love them, as long as they r stale. My mom to this day still cuts a slit in my peeps a few days before she gives them to me. And yes, Im a 30ish yr old woman and my mommy still buys me peeps!

Yes Helen, you can make it....I have a friend that makes it from scratch every year, but she says it takes a bit to do it. You can do an internet search on how to make candy corn and you will find lots of recipes for it.

How to explain candy corn. It's basically just sugar- looks like little triangles and is just a little chewy, not really though. Nothing really special about it except it's a fun Halloween tradition in the states.
I don't believe it's anything you can make but I could be wrong. It's nothing like cotton candy.
I once had a British neighbor who made the best toffee in the entire world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
