Shameful! I hope my inheritors (there won't be much!) look through and reminisce over every single scrap I leave.
This story reminds me of my sister coming over last Friday. I had a tall decorative covered ginger jar sitting on my kitchen counter that I had not put away after cleaning out a room. Her first words when she saw it were "Who's in there?" Okay. It was funny at the time.

Was anyone brave enough to open it? I bought an old baby picture at ours. It had been taken professionally, 3 different poses in one photo. I just felt so bad that her family didn't think enough of her photo to keep it so I adpted her. My family thought I was nuts. Our nation needs to step back and remember the importance of our families and to cherish them.

When my Sis in Laws Mother died she used her urn as a door stop!! Her parents were divorced for years and when her Dad passed she put her Mom in the coffin with him. I am the only one in the family that thinks this was strange!

Sounds like she wanted them to be together.

How sad and uncaring. It gives a whole new meaning to "Throw Away Society".

My husband died last November and was cremated. Each of our 6 grown children want part of his ashes, each will sprinkle a small amount in a place special to them (places they remember going with thier dad). I will keep the rest in an ern but I won't ever put it in storage.
