We had a cat that liked cantaloupe. I would have to put her out so I could finish preparing it.

the only peopl;e food my kitty eats is bacon, and it must be extra crispy or she throws it out of her bowl.

Hey, has anyone else noticed that now they advertise prunes as "dried plums" instead of "prunes"? Guess "prunes" conjures thought of being old. What-ever... I've always LOVED prunes. When I little, my dad would "bribe" me with them. OK, I'm weird... LOL!

I have always loved dried prunes, so does my youngest daughter. She also likes prune juice. She gives prunes to her to girls if they have problems with their bowel movement. She says they love prunes too.
But Kola doesn't like them.....LOL
If we give Kola anything but Meow-Mix with it's four colors she won't eat it. I guess she can tell what colors are there. Or she can count......LOL

Grapes, raisens, prunes, plums are not supposed to be fed to dogs. Don't know about cats.

I had a cat that loved cheese and a dog who loved it too, but only if the cheese was on a ritz cracker. She would be quite insulted if you offered her cheese without a ritz cracker. Another dog, a Black Lab would chase ya down for stuffed olives only to suck the piminto out and spit out the olive. Green olives and pickeled beets were the only thing that Lab turned his nose up on.

Ladies,
Thanks for the laughs! I almost had tears at a few of the stories, but I particularly liked the "wouldn't put my finger in the cut a second time."
You guys are great.

I hope the prunes are harmless (would not want to deal with that litter box - LOL!). Otherwise, I'm glad you started this thread. It's a hoot! I thought we had the only weird feline noshers. We used to have one who loved cantaloupe, and he would also crawl into a pumpkin at Halloween if we turned our backs while carving a Jack-o-lantern. Another kitty loved green peas. I knew someone who would feed her dog green beans to help him lose weight. I thought it was odd, but the vet recommended it.
