Even though we tell them not to use our scissors, it's like they can't help themselves. My DH knows better but he's had my scissors out in the garage cutting who knows what and just looks surprised when I grumble.

I have different color handles on my scissors for different uses, seems to help. My DH and children always ask if they forget the color code. I guess my wrath in the past is unforgettable.

I don't agree, a simple apology should suffice. All that needs to be done is take them in to be resharpened. Saves money they may not have for your more expensive tastes few of us haven't acquired.

He'll just have to buy you a pair of those expensive gold handle ones, gingher. Well eventhough not happy, I would really let it go since he was a sweety and helped you out.

My DH knows not to use any of my sewing scissors, altho sometimes I'm suspicious that he has used them. Hope I never catch him :0/

One day I picked up my scissors and found them all sticky!!! I yelled at my husband, but it turned out that our son used them to cut open his popsicle!!! ( The ones that have plastic wrapping.)
