First off, I want to say thank you for serving our country. Who knows what this country would be like without young people like you willing to serve in our military. God bless you and all our servicepeople.

My favorite patriotic song is the Star Spangled Banner.

About the reasons we are free

I can't forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cries
As he said these words to me

All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all

Now Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man

Love your country and live with pride
And don't forget those who died America can't you see

All gave some and some gave all

Think of all your liberties and recall, yes recall
Some gave all

American Soldier and The Angry American by Toby Keith. The first, because that is who the american soldier is. Ordinary men and women doing extrordinary things without thinking twice about it. Then when the job is done they go back and take up their lives without a whimper. The second, cause after 9/11 that is just how I felt. Thank you for your service from a Vietnam vet and his wife.

I have several but when they played Lee Greenwoods "God Bless the USA" as my husbands ship pulled out of San Diego harbor heading toward the gulf for Desert Storm, on my son's 2nd Birthday, December 8, 1990, I don't think there was a dry eye on the dock and my husbands says he does't think there was a dry eye on the ship either. Every time I hear that song, I see his carrier leaving and my 4 children crying their eyes out!!!

Oh gosh--what a memory.

I truly love so many--God Bless America, Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful.

It's surprising to me that not all Americans know he/she is supposed to stand with hand over heart at the playing of the national anthem. I teach my class that every year--and we practice!

America the Beautiful is my all-time favorite. I wish it was our national anthem. The words are so beautiful. I really don't like some of the words in the other one. Kinda violent. I know that's the way it was but I just love America the Beautiful :)
I'm a huge Yankees fan and every 7th inning stretch they play God Bless America (Kate Smith) Really nice.
