according to transplant doctors drugs -alcohol-cigs are all self-inflicted not an illness I lost a brother due to alcohol and labeling it as a disease is a crutch for the abusers to fall back onto --the death cert. reads Self Inflicted Alcohol Abuse. We all tried to help but it was his choice to live his life as he wanted to. We all have choices some people don"t use these choices wisely.Shame on anyone who throws thier life away and takes others down a road not of thier own choosing..   on charlie

I thoroughly believe he is a bi-polar and in a manic phase. Watching him on an interview program he shows all the classic symptoms. Self medicating with drugs and alcohol. Poor life decisions, grandiose ideation, insomnia, high sex drive. He needs professional help from the psychiatric community.

No worries folks, according to the interview I heard, Mel Gibson has been calling him for support.

I do believe that Charlie is in a manic phase and until he does something to hurt himself or others - nothing can be done (by law). Sad - very sad for all involved!

Well, he did say he has the blood of a tiger and the DNA of Adonis the God, so either he's really great or he's just getting weirder by the minute (er...second). I liked his show but doesn't he look old and tired on these interviews? And why can't he sit still??
