So sorry for your lose. Know how hard it is. I lost my little Teddy last February and still miss him to this day. Check out the Rainbow Bridge poem, so comforting. I know he is waiting for me someday, along with my beloved Molly and all the other furry friends I have lost over the years. Have a blessed Christmas......................................... ..........

I can feel your pain. I also had to put my beloved Dakota down this year due to cancer. We got him as a 6wk old pup. I will say a little prayer. We had our dog cremated and he is buried in my new flower bed dedicated to him.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. This is a loss that hurts like no other. The love we get from our pets is also like no other love; it is unconditional and never ending.
We have a pet who is terminal now, and I can hardly think of the time we will have to let her go.
I hope you can remember all of the special Christmases you had together.

My son had to put down their dog on Dec 7. Very sick and nothing the vet could do for Abby. We felt as bad as they did as we loved her too. It's hard to lose a pet. Hope you have a good holiday even tho you are mourning.

You are not being silly. Dogs are the only animal IMHO that love us unconditionally (whether we deserve it or not)!
I had two dogs were my 'other' kids. I lost one on December 22nd one year. Fortunately, I had another at home but it was very difficult to make the choice to end the older one's suffering; but the vet agreed it was time.
I lost my mom December 23rd, 2005. She was in hospice care and said she 'didn't want to mess up Christmas' and insisted we not come to the hospice center Christmas day. She was determined the family would still have the 'family dinner' on Christmas. I think she passed when she did so she'd get 'her way'! We did get together as she had 'mandated'. It started out sad but we began to reminence of times past. We can choose to remember the good or dwell on the bad. I choose the good!
Remember your dear doggie's fun times and companionship. After my second little doggie passed away I only managed to stay pet-less for about 5 months. I love being greeted when I come home! Now my sweet Ash is only nine but has gone almost completely blind due to two pancreatic infections that left him with diabetes. But he still wants to chase his toys (we now buy ones that make animal sounds so when we throw it he can find it.) He gets his insulin twice a day and is a very happy camper! I cannot imagine my life with dogs!
I will keep you in my prayers. May your Christmas be blessed and your new year filled with wagging tails!

So sorry for your loss. Furbabies are family just as much as
anyone else and it really hurts when we lose one. I lost my
beloved Chablis in 2003 and I still miss him so much. Do
check out the Rainbow Bridge poem, it really helps. My
prayers go out to you.
