Default Coloring Apron Fabric Choices

I found a Coloring Apron in the Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting Nov/Dec 2007 issue that I want to make for my five-year-old granddaughter.

I found these fabrics at home and can't decide which one to use.

Which one do you like better?... the bottom left (green)... or the bottom right (pink)

These are the fabrics that I am going to use to make one for my seven-year-old grandson.

I like the green. But it took me a while to decide. Either would be cute.

I like the pink for your Grandaughter. Cute crayon apron and nice fabrics for your Grandson! I might change the pattern to more of a bib men's apron for a boy or just a straight rectangle like a nail belt.

I like that straight rectangle idea. Even though this is a very simple pattern, I am starting to hyperventilate over the directions. I have the hardest time following a pattern. I do not have a background in sewing, and the terminology is foreign to me. That's why I make up my own quilt designs.

The green fits the character of the fruit better, I think.
