Converting 70's slides to DVD~any info appreciated

So, ya'll seem to be very knowledgable here!~
My husband just mentioned something to me for the umpteenth gazillion time...and Christmas is coming...and I have NO Idea...so, thought I'd ask:
Do you know of a company or link where you would (I guess) send your 70's slides and have them put on a DVD format?!?!
He has BOXES and BOXES of them! thank you

I'll bet if you call a camera shop they can do it or recommend someone in your area that does it.

We used Superior Slides just a couple of months ago: http://www.superiorslides.com/index.html
and they did a great job. Slide show and jpg files.

I used this company to get my Mother's old film developed and put onto a dvd. When I watched it for the first time I bawled for an hour because I got to see all of my deceased family memebers again. It was like I was there with them.
I am so glad I sent the films to them.

There is a gadget that you could buy that will do it for you - IF you have a DVD burner on your computer. The name of it escapes me now, but I bought it on ebay for about $49. You put it the slide, it shows up on your screen, and you save it. Then, you transfer it to your DVD. I made one DVD for each of my daughters with all their pictures on it. If you are interested, I will try to find out the name of that gadget.
