Come visit me here next to Death Valley. It will be 105 today and 110 for the next two days. The low is a balmy 75+. We don't know what rain looks like so we cool our houses with swamp (evaporative) coolers.

Here in Alaska we are having a wonderful week of sunny weather, blue skies and setting high temperature records in part of the state. Of course, my version of AC is to open a window. LOL. Yesterday we hit an official 80* and everyone I met at the 4th of July parade was complaining about the heat. Today it was 56* at 7AM and now at 11AM it's 66*. It all depends on what you are use to. Remember to hydrate where ever you are!

I'm not complaining, either. It was so darn cold here this winter, that I was overjoyed when warm weather finally got here.

I live in the country. It's a cool 72 degrees in my house and heat index of 105 plus outside. I don't mind hot weather as long as I have AC in house and car. You won't find me outside before sunrise or after sunset. The country has bugs that bite and swarm and embed, and all around nasty.

Actually we drove an hour away from home to watch fireworks with a friend, driving in pouring down rain in mid 70 degree temperature, from Austin, TX to Horseshoe Bay, TX. The rain and mist lingered, and the fireworks had issues. At the end, no Grand Finale.

Our highs are dreadful. 102 at 4:15pm today. Excessive Heat Warning on phone app in effect for days. Tomorrow's high, Saturday predicted 105, Sunday 108, Monday 112 high and low 82, and back down to a cool 101 on Tuesday. Here in Austin we also have the African Sahara dust, hanging in our atmosphere causing coughing and everything else when the virus and bacteria attached to the silica in the dust particles entered the respiratory system. Would love to be vacationing in the mountains about now!
