You can take a screen shot of the e-mail and then do a paste of it to?

A lot of sites "look" legitimate but they aren't.

scam! don't click on it! U.S. government is not going to contact us via email unless you are a government employee that routinely does work with that department.

It sounds like a SCAM!
I agree. I think it sounds like a scam also.

I believe they would contact you by letter or in person. Homeland showed up at a friends door a few months ago with deportation papers. She was born in Japan while her Dad was stationed there with the Navy. She had to contact the embassy in Japan to get her certificate of American birth in a foreign country. She said they like to scared her to death. She can laugh about it now.

Snopes does not research facts. This has been on every news show at least once. It is not taken seriously as last word on anything. Search and read what and who Snopes really is.

I'm glad it worked out well for her, but what is happening now is nothing to laugh at. In our area, legal immigrants are being told to report to the federal building with a suitcase and a plane ticket, and they don't know what will happen to them. No "day in court" for them either.

Might be someone trying to get into your computer and hack it for financial info. I would delete it and not even open. I would think Homeland Security would contact by mail or in person.
