discontinued foods

(Yes, I know, for some this may be "eeeyyyyuuu!).
I cruise by the lunchmeat cooler in about every grocery store that I go to....looking for a package of “Headcheese”. I ate it & loved it for years, but I haven’t seen it for a long time.
I guess that the animals that they make lunchmeat out of nowadays must be “headless”.....

Does anyone remember when they used to sell "tater dogs", they were like corn dogs except instead of the cornmeal it was mashed potatoes (or a potato batter). To this day I cannot find a recipe that can duplicate them. Hubby is still asking for a recipe search atleast once a year.

Anyone remember those flat raisin cookies that Nabisco used to make? I loved those things...

I got so annoyed with Bath & Bodyworks I told the manager I refuse to shop there anymore. I should probably write the company, too. They are constantly introducing new fragrances, but then they turn around and discontinue them! Why should I even bother trying their new ones - they'll be around less than a year!
Oh yes, Bath and Bodyworks. I LOVED their peppermint bath wash, it so totally woke me in the am, and then, they tried to offer me gingerbread instead. Ewww.

A local family owned for generations ice cream plant closed the doors last week in my state. 200 people without a job now. The price of sugar, cream, and transportation cost was too much. They couldn't stay in business. I'm concerned about the 200 jobs. Not many places need expert ice cream plant workers.

My main indulgence was Trader Joe's UFO candy. Dang!! May be just as well, as I was really "hooked" on them. The super markets no longer carry my favorite coffee, so I order it on line from Amazon. Haven't found a source for UFOs.
