dividing irises

agree with not buring them. I did that one year and they did very little, until the actually worked thier way to the top. smile. also they don'[t do much the first year after being moved, but I have moved them in all times of the year.
I really think they are a weed we like in our garden. smile...

I really appreciate all the post on this subject. I have irises around the east and south sides of the house, and they really need digging up and replanting. They've really become overgrown. Thank you to all who posted!

I just read an article in the paper this morning. said all the things mentioned here. have fun!!! and a shovel will do.
