That is amazing! My great uncle's first wife left him and took their young son with her eons ago, and they were never heard from again, and no one is alive anymore that would even remember their names. I would be thrilled if we could find them. You're so lucky!

Deanna, I'm SO happy for you!!! We found out that this happened in my husband's family as well, during the 1930's. We presumed it was because his family couldn't afford to feed another child and put him up for adoption. He has been in touch with his uncle for years. Best wishes for a happy reunion!!

Oh that is exciting news - I ventured into genealogy a bit - but I really needed more help - I hit a wall and it was hard to get past it - Its nice that there is so much information on the internet now - but it does take some intense work and fact checking to make sure you have the right person - but its fun - its like putting together a puzzle. Congrats.

That is so exciting! I've always wanted to find out more about my birth family, but so far have only minimal info to go on. May you and your uncle have a joyous reunion!
