I have been working on decorations for outside. We have a bunch of kids in the apartment building I live in and they love it when I decorate for Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas. I will post pictures when I'm done but I want to know if anyone else does this too. If you have pic's post them for us to see, please.

Nope. We don't decorate, hand out candy or anything. Our church has a party (non costume) where the kids play games and get tons of candy.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.. I mean it was the highlight of my year! I have a 10x10 storage that houses my decorations- well more than half of the storage is Halloween stuff.. Years & years & years of accumulation.. Yes I am a nut, but what is soooo disappointing is that I have all these decorations and we currently live way out in the country so if I do decorate not one but our four legged wildlife will see it.. We do not have any traffic of any sort in my direction..

My DD started to decorate for me when her DD and her moved in with us. We have gravestones and flashing lights and all kinds of things up. She also carves a gazzillion pumpkins for decorating at the school and our house. The best is she also cleans it all up when she's done.

I only do ghosts, gobblins and spider webs. Nothing demonic.

Most people think Im nuts by the way I decorate! I even have orange, yellow & back Fiesta dishes I get out for this time of year! I have a collection of houses I put up, with village scenes, like most do for Christmas, and a halloween tree! Dh said he will try to see if he can help me post pics when we are done!

I never really got into Halloween decorations, but I used to LOVE to make costumes. My kids are too old now and I miss it.

I have a suggestion for giving out candy. In our area when my kids were little, a bunch of us mothers got together and when we gave out candy on begger's night, it was in a zip loc bag, taped shut with clear tape, with our mailing return address sticker inside. This way mothers of the children could look through the candy and know that certain candies were safe to give the kids.

This was in the days when a bunch of nuts were putting razor blades, needles in some candies and Ex-Lax in chocolate candies.

This made us a lot easier about allowing our kids to enjoy this rare time of all the candy they wanted to eat. Otherwise, I rarely allowed such things.

I do not decorate for Holloween because in the city so many use this night for mischief and hurting animals like black cats.I do hand out candy and make my DGD a holloween outfit. I prefer to call it a celebration of Fall. When my kids were little it wasn't this way and I did put pumkins and decorations on our door.
