I'm here with my wonderful gs babysitting for the weekend while dd is in RI with a friend, son is in Myrtle Beach with his dad, and I feel blue, all of a sudden. Why?
Do you ever feel like this? Is it age? A cloudy day? Subconscious? Am I missing something? Am I starting to feel sorry that I am single? Am I tired? Meno?
There's a twilight zone marathon, Drop Dead Diva marathon, next week I'm on vaca and watching gs while dd works, stuff to sew, and life in general is good.
Does this ever happen to you? How do you snap out of it? Do you ever figure out what it is to begin with?

I think we all feel the "blues" at times thinking that life could be better. I just try to think of the positives instead of what I don't have. I'm single, but the older I get, the better I appreciate not having to clean up after someone else, doing what I want when I want, buy what I want when I want, etc. But, most of all, I have a couple limiting health issues, but nothing terminal - yet! Enjoy your family while appreciating they are healthy. Hugs!

It happens to most people. Let yourself feel your feelings and don't try to explain them. Feelings just are, until they start to intrude or impeed on your life. Then it is time to see your Dr. to see if something else is going on. But try not to compound the situation with guilt. Feel better.

Don't know why that 'blue' feeling comes over us so suddenly when everything is good, most likely it is because our hormones have a life of their own.
Got chocolate? That or a nice big cookie could give you a sugar lift that will make you feel better. How about some grandchild hugs and kisses? .

I thought I was fine until for some reason this mood interrupted me. I'm trying to overpower it and am sure it won't last much longer. It's just odd how it happens for no reason.
Probably is menopause. All else that I can't explain with my moods and all I blame on hormones, so why not this too? lol

Oh gosh, yes indeed. Sometimes can't explain it. Could be hormones, could be bad weather, could be nothing. I *try* to get some sunlight and move around some. It seems to help me. Years ago before Seasonal Affective Disease became popular, or at least known about, and there weren't light boxes to help, I found myself drawn to the lighting department at the Lowe's near my job. I would spend my lunch hour standing there in all that light and it made me feel better. As my grandma used to say "Go Know". Anyway, those blues could be anything but light and movement even walking, can't hurt.
