Thank you all for your very helpful ideas and suggestions, they are all very much appreciated.

I served in the Women’s Army Corp as a WAC back in the 1960’s, but I had no idea how things may have changed over the years. I guess as boot camp goes….not much.

As a mom of a Navy son currently serving and a USMC son who left the USMC last month, I agree. Phone cards are the best. As soon as they can after boot camp --they want to phone home.
