I have a male and female Rufous hummer pair that arrived here early last month. Haven't seen the little girl lately - she may be sitting on eggs. Still pretty cool here for them but I guess they know what they are doing. A REMINDER-- NO HONEY for the nector - it gives them a mouth fungus that will kill them. Thanks for the pics.....

Yes we do - we have several feeders around the yard that my DH takes care of...
if we sit real still on our patio we can get some mondo cool pictures..

we have (that I know of for positive) blue bird babies, red-headed woodpecker babies, and mockingbird babies out there right now

I have a feeder at the end of my patio. Bees and ants get to it every year. Although there are bees all through the summer it's the end of summer that is the worse. They get very aggressive then and I end up taking it down early.

We have one feeder in our yard and lots and lots of flowers. This year we have one momma who built her nest in one of our palm trees. The babies are apparently only in the next for about six weeks. Hope the pics come thru good. There are 2 babies in the nest

When we were in NC I made a gallon or more of sugar water a day for four feeders. We started out with a 3 to 1 ratio (water to sugar). After the first couple of gallons, we went to a 4 to 1 ratio. They were thick as flies. When a feeder emptied they would hover near me while I refilled it. Now I'm in VA, have only one feeder, and I'm lucky if I see one a day. And, boy, do I ever miss them!
