Some internet service providers do put a cap on bandwidth. Unfortunately many of them don't tell you this until you are way over on usage.
Living out in the country we don't get any kind of cable/DSL service. We first had unlimited dial-up (cheap but frustrating), then wireless broadband from at&t (expensive and still somewhat frustrating) and we now have high speed wireless from our local electric cooperative. It is great and although it's a little pricey it's well worth it!

Are you sure it's YOU that is over the limit?

We just have our small local wireless service and a few months back they notified us that we were over the limit. With further investigating, it turns out that some of our neighbors were picking up on our wireless free of charge! They gave us a new whatchamacallit (router?) and all is good again.

We have Century Link for our dish, home phone, high speed internet. No limits 24/7. We even get $5.00 discount on our dish. It runs under $125. for the bundle.

I have Frontier (used to be Verizon). No limits that I know of. Perhaps they would do me a favor if they did limit ... lol

I recently found we have limits with Comcast, but they give us 250 GB per month and as of just a few days ago we had only used 3 GB since Jan 1 so I guess we don't need to worry any.
