Haven't thought of the Drive-In in ages. A group of my friends and I would take turns borrowing our Dad's car and the six of us would pile in. Someone would make and bring an enormous brown paper bag of popcorn. Senior year, we'd pass around an awful bottle of Boones farm wine. When one of us would go to the restroom it was a big joke to then move the car on them. Very little of the movie ever got watched; too busy giggling and plotting. Thanks for the memories!

What memories those speakers bring ..Our little town had a Wednesday night special..every car was $1. Didn't matter how many people. Someone in our crowd could always get a truck--the big open bed kind that logs were hauled on. We loaded all the teens it would hold and rode about 4 miles with legs dangling over the sides. Amazing that any of us are alive today. Hmm...no seat belt laws back then (early 50's) OOOOPS, telling my age!

Oh, yes. I took my Mother one night while DH kept the kids and we drove off with the speaker in the car. I was so embarassed. We laughed all the way home. My Husband and our 2 boys would take a dishpan full of popcorn and a RC cola and have a good time.

The speakers that used to go into cars at a drive-in movie cinema.

OMG these are Dive-in speakers. Now that was back in the day. Remember when My Mother would take all 4 kids every Friday night. she would make popcorn and take Kool-aid to drink.

What fun we had at the drive in....in fact, met my husband who came with a friend, we had three cars full, would all go together. Didn't really matter what movie was playing. It was good clean fun.
