Default Do you like paper dolls?

While doing some searching today, I found this site:

http://www.pattyreeddesigns.com/Cat-...aper-dolls.htm

She has some free paper dolls you can download and they are gorgeous! They look familiar but can't remember if or where I've seen them before. I LOVE paper dolls.

From there went to the Simplicity site and oh boy! Have to go back and look some more...I haven't sewn clothes for a long time and there's so much stuff there. Patti Reed has some scrumptious patterns there!

Thanks , I am gathering paper dolls to print out to send to my grand daughters. I loved playing with them when I was young.

I like to find their clothes, mostly older style, and use them for patterns to make wall hangings for my grandaughters bedroom. I trace the pattern and then hand embroidery them. Its fun looking and seeing the paper dolls. It does bring back some good memories.

McCall's books had these paper dolls, the lady that her husband owned the farm I grew up on would bring them to us girls. we also cut out of M Wards catalog paper dolls. Spent many hours playing with them.

I loved paper dolls. Anybody remember the ones in McCall's magazine? We could hardly wait for the new one to show up.

So cute...love the paper dolls. Do you remember the dolls in the magazines
Mary Engelbreit's Home Campanion? They were special too?
Thanks for the link!

When I was young my mom would draw heads for us with a shoulder area so we could hang on to the head and clothes. She would glue them to cardstock ie. cereal boxes and then we cut clothes out of the Sears or Montgomery Wards catalog for them. We had huge families of dolls to dress. What a great memory!
