    All the potholders I have I made. I used two layers of Quilter's Dream cotton batting and they're perfect, not too stiff and not too thin.

    I havn't but I should. I have so much scrap fabrics around and all my potholders are getting "gross"

    Yes, I make fancy ones with curved corners or scallop edging...great practice before tackling larger projects! I give most of them away, but I like being able to make them to match my kitchen decor.

    I use the Insulbright batting, and honestly, haven't paid much attention to how I am putting the sandwich together! I think I usually put the silver sides facing outwards.
