I think it is the law in Indiana, too. I also think I remember that your lights are to be on for an hour after sunrise and an hour before sunset.
It really bugs me when the police don't use their lights and turn signals!!

My vehicle turns the lights on automatically when the sky darkens.

"A grey or silver vehicle is very hard to see at dawn or dusk when it is foggy"

We were stopped in traffic the other day and there were about 15 other cars around us and 10 of them were grey or silver so that's an awful lot of cars that can't be seen when it rains, at dusk or when it's foggy.

It IS law in California, and sadly too many people think their running lights are sufficient. They don't get that their tailights are not on and that it is really hard to see them in the rain from behind.

I put the lights on for sure when I am traveling; then they see me as I have a black car. I also make sure they are on during snowstorms as well as rainstorms.

My lights come on automatic when the wipers come on, no way to forget. Also if it gets dark enough they come on, lots of help for "sometime forgetful people"

I live in Washington state and I wish it was the law here. In calif if your windshield wipers are on, your lights better be too. Boy do we need that here..................My lights are on automatically.

It is a law in Ohio now also. If the wipers are on the headlights must be also. As usual, many do not keep up with news and the changes in the laws so you see many without them on. The same goes for moving over when there is someone stopped on the shoulder. In Ohio it is law if you pass a law enforcement officer with someone pulled over you must move over and slow down.
