I have a collection of uncomfortable, useless thimbles that don't fit right. Does that count?

Only a very few from places I've been (on vacation or shop hop) and have them displayed in a small wall curio cabinet. They are all ceramic novelty type and I enjoy 'looking' at them!!

I don't but I might as well. I've bought so many, only to try to use them and find they're too big.

I don't have nearly as many as you do, but I do have a nice collection. I also ask friends, etc. to bring me a thimble if they go out of town. Have one from Alaska. I have several "antique" ones. They are so unique. I even like the ones that have old advertising on them.

I too, collect thinbles. I have over 1000. My favorite is my grandmother's. She got it when she was 13 and that was in 1901. It has her initials engraved on it.

I have been collecting thimbles for years. It is a nice inexpensive souvenir from my travels. I have one thimble case which holds 100 thimbles that has thimbles that other have gotten for me in their travels. I have a thimble case my sister made for me it is filled with thimbles I have collected and another smaller case that has about 25 or so thimbles in it. These all grace the walls in my sewing room. They come in all sizes and shapes and are fun to look at and to remember where they came from.

I too collect thimbles. Many were gifts, others bought as I traveled and inherited from family. I have a display board with little pegs on it so have all 100+ on display.
