I have three cats. The Siamese loves to be brushed. I got a Furminator, and it really does a great job. Sometimes I think she'll go bald before she lets us stop. She gets a little frantic about the whole thing. My big black and white will tolerate brushing for awhile, but since he dirt rolls on a regular basis, he is also pretty used to getting wiped down with a wet towel. The old calico doesn't like to be brushed anymore (she's 17) so we just pet her lots to keep the fur down.

Mamma cat is short haired Calico but her two girls and long haired black and white hairballs. I must comb them or they get knots of hair sometimes. they can take off in a run and leave behind a clump of hair! don't know why.

but even mamma can benefit from a good combing. i get lots off of her,so she too gets a good combing. even with that, my house is full of cat hair. i had no idea what i was taking on when i said we would not only keep her but her two girls too!
