or is it just home decor?

when you walk into my house you would be hard pressed to know I am a quilter. There is one small quilt on the wall in my living room, a quilt on the back of the sofa and one the back of the recliner...that is it...until hard winter when they hit the beds...

but in general my house does say, a quilter lives here! I have friends who have quilts on every wall, every piece of furniture, in display cabinets, on the tables, etc...not me...I am the ODD man out?

Mine screams I am a quilter. I like to enjoy my work and I don't have too many visitors other than my kids so I do have quilts everywhere.

No my house doesn't really scream that I am a quilter unless you notice the end tables are really sewing machines. :D

My house screams "I am a quilter" because there's a bunch of quilting supplies all over the place. I only have one finished quilt on display.

What does my house says to all visitors? Mine shouts out that I haven't made up my mind if I love Victorian or Frank Lloyd Wright styles...Some furniture from MIL's house, some from mine before marriage many years ago, some from DH's love of FLW, plain, straight pieces.

There's a bow tie quilt on my chair where I read and nap...a small Indian style one on a pillow for the Koko who would rather sleep on my lap all the time, and one on my computer chair for when it's cold and I can wrap up in it except the other cat, Frederica, loves to sit here and won't move when I sit down so I get cold and go to the front room...on second thought, it's late and I must be getting tired, since I'm even more silly than usual.

Good night.

The sewing room, on the other hand, looks like someone exploded a fabric bomb in it and then searched it for survivors. I'm sure that I'm in there somewhere...no one has pulled me out yet.

I am like you, a couple in the living room, a framed heart block in the bathroom, but, it you go into the back room which is the computer/sewing room then you know I am either a quilter or a hoarder!

Yes Sadly there is NO denying it. You open my front door an looking straight ahead all you see are quilts and squares hanging up. Not to mentin the mess of all the notions laying around. We "find" the table once a day to eat dinner

No, like everything else I ever did I gave most of it away. I do have a quilt to hang over the mantel at Christmas time. Plus a valentine's quilt on the wall in February. Of course the featherweight set up in its card table in the living room, and the viking set up on the dining room table are sorta hints a sewer lives here. As soon as I put them away, I get them right back out for some project. I give up....

Well, if you count all the fabric that is draped over the furniture, the threads on the floor, the sewing machine on my dining room table, my cutting table that blocks the front door and the ironing board that is always up, then, yes, my house screams I am a quilter!

yeah..I don't let too many folks go past the bathroom at all...if/when they see THAT room..they are frightened and never come back..OR they try to help themselves to my stash thinking I won't miss any of it...that is what my baby sister did this summer..but I caught her!
