Just thought I would update things. It is like a war zone in the area I live in, but at my mum's house life looks normal so we are spending alot of time here. We have power on but no water supply or sewerage.

There have been several major aftershocks today and I can honestly say that I am sitting here shaking.

I just want normality back!

All schools have been closed until they have all been assessed for structural damage. It sounds like my son's school will open before my daughters due to being in another suburb.

If anyone is interested, a good news website to check out is www.stuff.co.nz and apparently there is some pictures and videos on you tube now.
