And that is why I like estate sales. Also because it is fun to tour a house. I've found several interesting things at estate sales. It is very hit or miss. Like a treasure hunt.

Estate sales can be a gold mine! I found a featherweight and two 301s at estate sales... and a Chatty Cathy doll just like the one I had when I was 4 years old!

Good score! I'm sure you'll be an estate sale junkie after that.

Lucky you!! I have a feather weight table my dad got for me at Goodwill but no feather weight to go with it.

We are having an estate sale person come in to do my patents house next week It is such a sad time for me but I hope pepole find treasures, nope sorry if they find a featherweight it is mine!

What a wonderful deal!! Congrats!! I had a featherweight way back in the 1950s and didn't realize what a magnificent machine it was. I traded it in for a new model of something forgettable. I was sorry almost immediately and tried to get it back but I couldn't. I regret that stupid decision to this day. Whenever I hear about someone lucking up on one, I think that maybe it is my old one. Silly, I know.

Lucky find. Your story makes me want to check out 'estate sales'-not garage sales. Who knows what I might find.
