So far I am only down about 8.5 or so for this month. But I am wearing smaller clothes!
I plan to join in for March as well!

Default It's Been A Looong While

since I was on the board,or on line for that matter.Hope everyone is doing well with their food plan.Mine has dropped by the wayside due to so many DR/hospital visits, along with sickness in the family, plus we're getting ready to move.

The move won't happen till about April, but it's a ton of work after being in same place for so many yrs.We both just sit & stare at end of day....what a picture that makes!

We've not had much winter in Ohio,so that has helped. Our younger DD is back to work,2mos after major surgery.DH also had major surgery & I had 2 cataracts removed.Thank the Lord for family sticking together & helping all thru rough times. We are blessed.

Welcome back plainpat. Yes the winter here in Ohio has been weird. I am in southwest Ohio. YOu sound like you have been busy. I am glad to hear your daughter and husband are doing well. Yes moving after years in a house is a major chore. My husband talks about moving out into the country on some acreage. I told him I don't want to pack up the house again. I said I am staying until I die and leaving it for the kids to pack up.
Everyone sounds like they are doing so well with their weight loss this month. I have been a little off track but am down a little. I am leaving for my weigh in shortly. Not sure it will be a good one. There have been several parties this month and I just don't do well at parties. Everyone keep up the good work.

I had weigh in this morning. I was pleasantly surprised to be down 0.2 of a pound. I was sure I was up. It has been a bad 2 weeks. Lots of parties, out to dinner several times, lots of wine, etc. I guess all of the exercise was worth it. I was sure I would be up at least 4 pounds.

Hi all, we have a snow advisory for tonight & Sun so I got out and got the food I'll need for next several days. I think we're supposed to get 5-10". Yeah!! I have missed winter so much as it's been really mild and brown. Hopefully I'll finish my baby blanket this weekend. The salmon burgers turned out good and I'm focusing on drinking herb tea instead of pop this week. Also, I am grateful for the earlier post this month about staying away from foods that make us crave sweets. I had that happen last month with diet ice tea mix. I had to go "cold turkey" and cut it from my food plan. It was getting harder to stay away from sweets when I was drinking the stuff. I kept the glass jars and was shocked when I realized I'd bought 12 jars in 2 months. Argh! I still want that sweet taste but I want to get my weight off more. I want to be able to ride a bike or trike and I need to lose at least 50# for that to be possible. That's my goal anyway - get under 200# then see what PT okays for me. Right now I use a walker or a scooter to get around. I'm hopeful I'll be able to reach this goal this year.

If you want to use a sweetner use Trevia or Stevia they are made from a plant not chemicals.Irishrose first told me about it last year. I have also been told by the doctor to use it instead of equal or Splenda etc.The equal etc makes you hungry and is not good for you. I really like the Trevia as far as taste. I think it is better than Slenda which I used to love. Good luck. Mary
