Default "find" function in edit mode on a Mac

When looking for something specific on a web posting while using Firefox, does "find" work?

    If so, how?

I press the Edit button, then the Find in the drop down menu - and then nothing happens.

I am looking for something specific, but don't particularly want to read the whole long thing again.

For example, if I was looking for "capital letters" in a posting, how would I go about doing so using "find"?

I've tried "help" - looking in "the missing manual" for OS X Mavericks - and looking for "help" by googling.

Apparently I am not asking the question correctly - because I have not found an answer that works yet.

    Can/Will anyone help?

Sounds like a bug in Firefox. This might help:

    Or this, which is similar:

    Thank you!

The "word box" shows up in the lower left corner of the screen. Never thought to look there!

You can also almost always use 'Ctrl F' in any program. The box to type in your search term will generally appear at the bottom or top of the page.

Glad you figured it out. I would be lost without the "find" function!
