WOW!!!!

I can't imagine the devestation this has caused, and as a Scouts Canada leader, I'm glad to hear that all the Scouts are okay and helped out.

As a family that has a 30ft trailer and uses it A LOT, it's difficult to imagine this happening.

My heart goes out to everyone involved.

Marsye, please keep us updated today.

This morning the news reports 16 confirmed dead and 40 missing. This is so heartbreaking.

I didn't know anything about this until my sister old me late last night. I am usually a news junkie, but yesterday was an out of touch day. Prayers for everyone involved.

We just got home. I can't give anymore news other than one more body was found. Still alot missing. I took some pictures of the river but its hard to see in the pictures just how high the water was and the damage its done. The tiny town of Langley with only one country store had cars, trucks, law enforcements, rescue vehicles, people set up with grills and smokers feeding people, horse trailers with horses, ambulances, etc... parked everywhere. There was also alot of people just sitting in cars, under shade trees, laying in backs of pickups, laying on the ground, etc. as if they were waiting for the news of their missing family members. The amount of media there was just amazing!

many trees down all down the river

Yeah, so sad. It's a big thing on our t.v. here, clear out in Oregon. Poor families of those that didn't survive. My prayers go out to all involved, survivor or not.

Sounds like a cloud burst to me. I remember one in Colorado in 1976 on the Big Thompson.

My thoughts and prayers are with the first responders and the friends and families of the dead and missing.
