I get the shot, I am alergic to asprin, so I would rather not risk having to take medicine. Heck, I am even alergic to benedryl. (Yep I am blessed to be given this challange)

Get a SHOT always (never have I had side effects.
Have not had the flu in many years.

I am now as of Aug. 2010 a diabetic.

Also had the pneumonia shot last year.

Had the whooping cough shot (DPT)
(cannot get this shot after 64 old)
so I got it last year.

My DH gets the shot each year. I don't. I take Vitamin A and a Zinc every day and it is extremely rare that I even get a cold - if I do, I take an Alkaseltzer(sp?) cold medicine with hot water before I go to bed and usually does the trick. Even if I do get the flu, it is usually extremely light and over in a day, and usually around January as you wind down from all the holiday stress.

I always get a flu shot and so does my DH. I got the pneumonia shot a few years ago (only lasts ~10 years). Plan to get the Shingles shot soon (recommended by dr).

I don't do the shot. I stay away from crowds and so far have had no problems. Frequent hand washing also.

Just did the SHOT. Suppose to be the same shot as last year but the needle sure felt BIG, tight arm, then two days of being hot, achy, chest scratchy.

That said, I am not going to get the flu; I am not going to get the flu....I sure hope I don't get the flu.
