I just spent a good amount of time putting things in the canning jars and canisters and containers with the foodsaver and packed away many Rubbermaid containers..will use them for other things but glad to have so much saved in the better sealed containers!

My neighbor came over one day and said, "I have two of these, so I thought you could use one, too." I love this thing! I use the foodsaver bags (Costco), the containers I ordered at the Foodsaver site (when they had a sale) and I also got the jar sealer attachment set that allows me to vac seal Ball/Mason Jars (these jar gizmos come in regular and wide-mouth). They also have a wine sealer that works really well too- and can be used for other bottles, too. Now that neighbor has moved away but every time I use the FS, she comes to mind.

I offered my older one to my daughter..it does not have the hose for the containers but she could use it for bags..she said no thanks..I am hanging onto it as I am sure she will see later hw handy it is...
