If you can, you may want to use another door...you will get divebombed by the robin Mama.
We have had that experience...and had to go out the basement door to take the boys to school.

We had barn swallows go to a great deal of trouble building a nest on our front porch a few years ago- It was indeed fun to step out occasionally and see what was going on. I tried not to bother them too much, but did make a few snapshots while they were there, from a ladder I took out to the porch. I think I lost their photos when my computer crashed a few years ago. So now you have step one the beautiful eggs - get out there occasionally and photograph the progress. It is so much fun to watch these wee ones grow.

We have them on our lights, under our eaves & even in a window planter box! It's like an aviary around here... LOL! They're fun to watch, tho, aren't they?

I found a nest under our row boat and we have to move it, what should I do, the female turns around, we've put in under the eaves but she's not going there, we put it back on the ground and she went in to feed but now she's gone. do you think she'll abandon her nest, the 3 very recent born seem very weak, I have a feeling they will die.

What shoud I do?

How fortunate for you and the birds. We just had Rosie Finches hatch and they are already gone. They seem to use the same place every year. Thanks for posting.
