Update from yesterday . I hate this . One of the babies is hiding under my big tomato plant ! I'm not sure if it's the one John picked up or not . These are wild rabbits , not sure if Mama will have anything to do with it since it has human scent on it . It's almost 100 again today. I feel awful about this ! Don't know what to do ! Annie

Annie, put some water out for Mom and babies. The human scent thing has been proven to be an old wives tale that our elders, (and theirs), told us to keep us from disturbing nests, ect. Keep us updated.

We did put out some water . OMG I was just out there and thought the baby had died ! But he or she is still with us . I took a few pics . The gray blob is their nest. And a couple of the lone baby . Now I'll try to upload the pics . Annie

This am's update . I went out yesterday afternoon and was going to check on baby and it was gone . I think mama found it . At least I hope so , we do have lots of cats around . I had pulled off some cabbage leaves and left them by their nest , they are still there . The strange thing about this is that the rabbits haven't eaten anything in the garden . Annie

Stitchin', I hope your babies and momma have a good life. They are probably using your garden vegatation for camoflage. Your neighbor is probably missing his carrots and cabbage. LOL I was a rabbit farmer for several years and it was different when they are in cages and tame. But, they were just as adorable. Good Luck.

Blessings,
Ruth

Good Luck to your new pets, Had a snake wrapped around one of my roof supports once, the neighbor wouldn't help get to down, we all did the shiver thang, next day he was gone. Cool part was didn't have any mice that year !!

They have all disappeared ! I think they moved their nest . They aren't far off , the parents still run around my front yard in the evening . Annie
