Neat invention, would be interesting to see how it actually sews, but not intended for heavy use as the inventor says - just quick mending.

Is this on the market yet? I would love to see one in real life. Would be great for travel.

I wish they'd come out with a bobbin that was actually a spool of thread like we can use on the top.

Ahhhh......two big cones...one on top and one on the bottom. Can you imagine? Heaven!

I want one too! When the price becomes affordable. Looks like it has a nice harp space for FMQers.

I do not believe this would be made for quilters. Just read the opening statement from the designer: “People don’t sew for hours at a time anymore. Most people use their machines for quick minor repairs—to hem a pair of pants or to refasten a button,”

That's pretty cool. It looks similar to one shown a couple of years ago that was very basic.

I can see it as a nice one to travel with. For years when I would go see my Mom I loaded up my treadle. Not exactly portable.

"People don't sew for hours any more." Itay Potash may be creative and has designed an admittedly interesting "laptop" sewing machine, but he is woefully uniformed about the sewing world!!!!!
