They also want everyone to buy the little death trap cars. I call that thinning the population. I will drive a 4 WD truck or SUV until the day I can not drive anymore. I have lots of fabrics that will out live me, so I can spend that money on gas for my truck.
Being jealous of those that can afford to buy whatever they want and enjoy is not very god like.
I am with you .I live in the country and drive my 4 wheel drive Avalanche everyday to work (28 miles one way). This truck has made it possible for me many times to get home when the weather gets bad, and nothing else was moving.
As long as I don't ask anybody to make my truck payment and pay for the gas for my truck, it is my business.

I thought the best example of the prices going up was on ABC tv's evening news last night. The reporter was standing in front of a gas station in California and in the 2 minutes she was giving her report, the price went up ten cents!

I think many of us are taken back everytime we get gas, Charlotte Nc $3.75 regular. now, it's scary. Food , my husband said we're eating less and the food bill is still going up. We've given up alot of things we enjoyed to eat ,like steak. I eat so much chicken I cluck now. Unfortunately we can complain, but nothings going to change. I have no idea what's going to happen down the road.

My husband recently bought a motorcycle - but its still too cold for him to drive everyday. I have the next cheapest to run vehicle and I find myself doing the hauling to the dump/recycling center ( where I can pick up coupons) and the storage unit instead of using his truck. I worry that I will have to cut way down on my driving cause prices are ridiculous. AT least I have enough UFOs and a stash to hold me for a long time!

I'm trying to stay positive and think of increased prices as an insentive to eat healthier and eliminate high priced, fattening snacks.

Default Northern Cal. prices

I live in Northern California, west of Sacramento. Yesterday morning on way to work the gas was $4.15 gal. On the way home from work it was $4.39! What the heck? No extra driving for me.

I hope everyone knows about this website

www.gasbuddy.com

put in your zip code and find the lowest price in your area. We were on a trip and found this ONE exit on the interstate where the prices were about 10-20% lower than other areas. And there were 4 stations there, all with the same low price.
